How to Get Started

1. Download AWE_Sheet

Download the bundled .zip file containing the class module and example workbook.

2. Extract the Files

After downloading, extract the .zip file to access the following:

  • AWE_Sheet_Example.xlsm: Example workbook to explore AWE_Sheet’s capabilities.
  • AWE_Sheet.cls: Class module ready for integration into your VBA projects.

3. Open and Use the Files

Example Workbook – Open AWE_Sheet_Example.xlsm in Excel to explore its functionality:

  1. Enable macros when prompted to unlock all features (learn how to enable macros).
  2. Press Alt + F11 to activate the VBA editor and walk through the code with the debugger to see how it works step-by-step. Learn more about using the VBA development environment and debugger.

Import the Class Module – Use AWE_Sheet in your workbook by adding the class module:

  1. Open your workbook and press Alt + F11 to activate the VBA editor.
  2. In the VBA editor, select File → Import File.
  3. Browse to the AWE_Sheet.cls file and click Open.
  4. The AWE_Sheet class module will now appear in your Project Explorer under the Class Modules folder.
    • If the Project Explorer isn’t visible, press Ctrl + R to display it.
  5. Save your workbook to ensure the module is added.
